Sports bra is a special underwear that protects the breasts without hindering the movement when women do various sports. It has the functions of anti-vibration and sweat absorption. Any intensity of exercise can make women’s breasts vibrate, and sports underwear can protect the breasts from vibrations. It can also avoid the hindrance of the chest to the movement. Sports always have to sweat. Another function of sports underwear is to absorb sweat, breathe, dehumidify, and deodorize. Besides, sports underwear generally has good elasticity and is easy to bend and stretch freely.
The female breast is a glandular organ hanging on the pectoralis major muscle. There is no bone and muscle support. During exercise, if you don’t wear underwear, the vibration of the breast will easily cause the breast to sag, which will affect the appearance and movement. Adding support and protection can also cause pectoralis major muscle tears. In addition, if the body is not sweating smoothly, it can also cause skin inflammation. The sports underwear makes the breasts and the body form a whole body through the strong support in the design of the style and the full chest constriction, and the sports are strong and healthy. On the other hand, the fabric of sports underwear is generally made of high-elastic cotton, which is good for wicking sweat, keeps warm, and stretches.
A good sports bra should have the following characteristics:
(1) Protection. The sports bra can limit the displacement range of the breasts in all directions, namely, up and down, left and right, and front and back. It’s not just a simple and rude wrap around the breast, but the ergonomic design evenly loads the force of the breast in all directions during exercise, which provides good support and protection. During exercise, under the protection of the sports bra, the relative displacement of the breast and the chest is greatly reduced, so as to avoid the excessive stretching and damage of the breast caused by severe shaking.
(2) Comfortable. The material should not be pure cotton fabric, because once you sweat, the entire bra will be saturated with sweat and become wet, making the body feel very uncomfortable. You should use quick-drying fabrics that wick away perspiration and breathable to quickly drain sweat to the surface of the fabric, and always keep the skin on the body dry. Technically, the seams of sports bras should be flat, or have edges rolled to help reduce friction.
(3) Suitable for sports. The shoulder straps should fit snugly and will not slip and rub against the skin during exercise. After wearing a sports bra, there should be no sense of restraint, especially on the shoulder and arm movements. Generally, the shoulder straps of sports bras are thicker, because too thin shoulder straps are easy to cause the shoulders during intense exercise.
